Psilocybe Cyanescens

Buy Psilocybe Cyanescens

Psilocybe cyanescens is a potent member of the hallucinogenic mushroom family, also called “wavy caps.” The main compounds responsible for inducing psychedelic effects are psilocybin and psilocin. It may share similarities with other magic mushroom types, but it is distinguished by its appearance and quantity of psychoactive compounds.

Psilocybe Cyanescens, also called the Wavy Cap Mushroom, is also another potent, wood-loving psilocybe fungus. In the Pacific Northwest, several different hardwoods have been found. One of the most strong psilocybe mushrooms is known as P. Cyanescens. It comprises 85% psilocybin, 30% psilocin, and 0% basilocystin, all of which are hallucinogenic psilocybes.

Psilocybe Cyanescens – Description

Psilocybe cyanescens has a hygrophanous pileus (cap) that is caramel to chestnut-natural shaded while moist, obscuring to pale buff or possibly yellowish when dried. Covers overall measure from 1.5-5 cm (½” to 2″) across, and are consistently unquestionably wavy in maturity.[1] The shade of the pileus is only occasionally tracked down in mushrooms past the P. cyanescens species complex. Most bits of the mushroom, including the cap and Lamellae (gills, under the cap) can stain blue when reached or by and large steamed, apparently on account of the oxidation of psilocin. The lamellae are adnate, and light brown to diminish purple brown being developed, with lighter gill edges. There is no indisputable annulus, but young P. cyanescens models really have a cobwebby cover which could leave an annular zone in maturity. Both the smell and taste are farinaceous.

Psilocybe Cyanescens – Uses

P. cyanescens has round spores which measure 9-12 x 5-8 µm.According to specific makers, the holotype variety of the species from Kew Gardens featured no pleurocystidia, yet North American arrangements are depicted by ordinary clavate-mucronate pleurocystidia. However, pleurocystidia are accessible in the holotype grouping (yet not successfully to see since hymenium is collapsed). In European varieties of P. cyanescens, pleurocystidia are ordinary and their shape is vague from those known from the United States. In 2012, an epitype from Hamburg, Germany was designated.

Psilocybe Cyanescens – Abuse

New sporocarps and mycelia of P. cyanescens generally twisted light blue or blue-green where hurt, and the staining stays perceptible ensuing to drying. This staining is most perceptible on the stem (which is white when undisturbed) but can similarly occur on various bits of the mushroom, including the gills, cap, and mycelium. This staining is supposed basically to the oxidation of psilocin. (Psilocybin can’t be oxidized directly, but is quickly exchanged through enzymatic movement over totally to psilocin at injury regions which can then be oxidized, so even models with little psilocin still all around blue.)
